Hoops

There are four hoops available for the Memory Craft 11000. Due to the new hoop connection mechanism, none of the previous Janome hoops can be used with the machine.

Standard Hoops, included with the machine

  • Standard Hoop (ST)
This is the same size hoop as the A hoop from the Memory Craft 10000/10001. It measures 126mm wide by 110mm (5" x 4.3"). Almost 80% of all embroidery is done in the 100mm x 100mm (4" x 4") commercial standard hoop, so most 11000 owners can expect to use this hoop more than any other.

  • Square Hoop (SQ)
No other home embroidery system has a larger square hoop. The measurement of 200mm x 200mm works out to 7.9" x 7.9", which results in it being called an 8 x 8 hoop. This hoop is the same height as the B hoop on the 10000/10001, but is 50% wider. This is also the size of the largest single design that can be done on the 11000.

Optional Hoops, available for purchase

  • Free Arm Hoop (FA)
This little hoop is 50mm x 50mm, approximately 2" x 2". It connects in a way that allows a hooped garment to slide over the free arm of the machine, allowing for much easier embroidery of small items. The MC10000 equivalent to this hoop is hoop C.

  • Macro Hoop (MA)
By allowing the hoop to connect in two different positions, this hoop can cover 200mm x 280mm, which works out to 7.9" x 11". The hoop can be selected in the EDIT screen, and designs and lettering can be added. However no single design can be larger than 200mm x 200mm, and the entire design must fall in the top 200mm or the bottom 200mm of the hoop. If any part of the inserted designs overlap into both 200mm regions, you won't be able to save or stitch the combined design.

Robotic Precision

The Rolling Linear Motion Guide, taken from Janome's robotic division, allows for stable and precise motion up to 8 inches (200 mm) in each direction. Stitch placement is accurate to 1/125th of an inch.
